Since 1987 Presley Architecture has specialized in residential and low-rise commercial construction. Four areas of concentration are:
- primary residences
- lake homes
- residential and commercial alterations
- historic preservation / adaptive reuse
Principal Architect Greg Presley has many areas of design interest based on his educational background and experience in the last four decades. These include:
- historic preservation (M Arch., University of Michigan, 1984, historic preservation)
- sustainable design (LEED AP, DTE solar energy researcher 1978-1984,)
- new urbanism (B Arch., U Mich., 1972, urban planning; TND since 1997)
Presley Architecture design philosophy can be summarized as follows:
- good design feels right (human scale is important to getting it right)
- good design is contextual (good buildings are good neighbors)
- good design looks good (proportion & scale are acquired skills)
- good design is timeless (great architecture stands the test of time)
